Villa Montanine is the heart of an agricultural estate producing organic Chianti wine and extra-virgin olive oil in a vast setting where the fields give way to a wood with many Mediterranean pines. Its oldest part probably was a watchtower already existing in the XIV century. The villa was enlarged in the XVI and XVII, and transformed into a typical Tuscan mansion with an austere façade surrounded by a large lawn. The upper floor is occupied by the owners, with Belgian and Russian, besides Italian, roots, who live there all the year round.
