The Saint-Petersburg Trio, consisting of Olesia Morozova on the piano, Ian Tomilov on the violin, and Roman Kiselev on the cello, was founded in 2013 in St. Petersburg State Conservatory.
Almost immediately trio has won the V Savshinsky International Music Competition and in February 2014 the trio was invited to give a recital in D. Schostakovich’s memorial festival in the Marc Chagall Art Center in Vitebsk, Belarus. Also trio was awarded the first prize of the Maria Yudina International Competition, which was followed by their third place performance in the II All-Russian Music Competition.
Since 2014 Saint-Petersburg trio takes part in various festivals and master classes: Jeunesses Musicales International Chamber Music Campus (Weikersheim), Zeist Music Days (Netherlands), Marktoberdorf Summer Academy, Sommermusik im Oberen Nagoldtal. Trio has worked with such chamber-music masters as Günter Pichler, Dirk Mommertz, Hatto Beyerle, Patrick Jüdt and also with famous ensemble: Artemis Quartet, Cuarteto Casals, Altenberg trio, Cuarteto Quiroga, Jerusalem Quartet, Sitkovetsky trio, Schumann Quartet, Vogler Quartet. Also trio constantly works with Eugene Sinaisky (Universität-Professor an der MUK Musik und Kunst Privat Universität der Stadt Wien). In 2018 trio gave their debut recital in Chamber Philharmonic hall in St. Petersburg. The programs of their concerts usually combine renowned works and rarely performed pieces. In 2019 trio has been selected to take part in Italian project Le Dimore Del Quartetto.
The trio plays in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Lithuania, Russia.
