The Eridàno String Quartet was founded in 2016 at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Turin where they studied with Claudia Ravetto and Manuel Zigante and they obtained in 2020 the Master in Chamber Music with top marks.
They are currently studying with the Quartetto di Cremona at the Accademia Walter Stauffer of Cremona and with Adrian Pinzaru (Delian Quartet) at the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo with the support of the “opensource” scolarship.
The Quartet takes part regularly in the summer academy of the Accademia Chigiana di Siena with Clive Greensmith (Tokyo Quartet).
In 2019 they were selected to take part in the project Le Dimore del Quartetto.
In 2019 they were selected by the Quartetto di Venezia for a Workshop about Bartók and Malipiero’s string quartets for which they achieved a scholarship from the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venezia.
In 2017-18 the quartet took part in the specializing course for string quartet at the Accademia di Musica di Fiesole with Andrea Nannoni and Antonello Farulli.
The quartet attended the courses organized by the Sesto Rocchi International Festival with Antonello Farulli, Andrea Nannoni, Andrea Repetto and Tiziano Mealli.
The ensemble took part in courses and masterclasses with Lukas Hagen, Cristophe Giovaninetti, Simom Rowland Jones, Oliver Wille, Simonide Braconi, Simone Bernardini, Christa Butzberger, Sandro Cappelletto and with the Quartetto Adorno.
In 2016 the quartet was awarded at the European Music Competition.
The Eridàno Quartet performs regularly in Italy, and recent major appearances include festival MiTo in Milan and Turin, Palazzo Carignano in Turin, Teatro Dal Verme in Milan, Reggia di Venaria, the Archivio storico della città di Torino, Teatro Baretti in Turin, the concert season of Accademia Perosi of Biella and the concert season of the Associazione Jervolino of Caserta. They often collaborate with “Accademia della Voce del Piemonte”.
