Bresler Quartet is a young string quartet named by their mentor Sergei Bresler, violinist and founding member of Jerusalem Quartet, who realized their potential and inspired them to make the quartet playing a part of their life. Bresler Quartet is very international and contains players from Italy, France and Russia. In 2017 they met in Cremona (Italy) in Walter Stauffer Academy and decided to create a stable string quartet.
The quartet regularly performs in all over the Europe and they known as a talented and perspective ensamble. Their music repertoire ranges from classical till contemporary period: in 2018 they were invited to play for the very first time the Quartetto n.5 by Fabio Vacchi, italian composer known throughout the world, in Teatro Giacosa of Ivrea (Italy). In 2018 and 2019 they had the chance to play together in concert with Salvatore Accardo and Antonio Meneses during the Festival ‘‘Omaggio a Cremona’’ in Teatro Ponchielli of Cremona (Italy) and they had the pleasure to play for Bruno Giuranna.
In the summer 2018 and 2019 they participated in ‘Zeist Muziek Dagen’ (Zeist, the Netherlands) where they had the opportunity to work with all the members of Jerusalem Quartet, Schumann Quartet, Sitkovetsky Trio, Marcin Sieniawski, Avri Lavitan, Oliver Wille and Alexander Rudin. All the professors were impressed by unique sound of the quartet, ability to play in different music styles, fast reaction during lessons and great will to create music together: they were selected to partecipate in all the concerts of the Festival in different cities of the Netherlands, where they have been a huge success among the audience.
In 2019 Bresler Quartet were chosen by Simone Gramaglia for being part of Le Dimore del Quartetto network, and few months later the quartet had the possibility to collaborate with Giovanni Bietti in a masterclass (lessons and concerts) during the ‘Festival Borciani’ in Reggio Emilia. Still in 2019 they participated in masterclass ‘Music With Masters’ in Pistoia (Italy), where they had the opportunity to have lessons with all the members of Quartetto di Cremona, Eckart Runge and Alfred Brendel. Currently the quartet continue to study with Sergei Bresler and with the members of Quartetto di Cremona at the Walter Stauffer Academy in Italy.
