Composed by four musicians united by their passion for the chamber music repertoire, The A.M.I. String Quartet focuses on a few shared pillars: common feeling, timbre research, attention to original scores and historically informed performance.
A.M.I. is dedicated mainly to the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries’ repertoire, with particular interest for the valorization and revival of unpublished Italian music, in particular from the Milan area. In this regard, it collaborates with the Archivio della Sinfonia Milanese in Binasco (MI), founded by M° Vanni Moretto. Their world premiere recording of Francesco Pasquale Ricci’s Quartetti Op. VII will be soon released by record label Urania Records.
Alla Maniera Italiana has already played around 20 concerts with great success expressed from the press and the audience, presenting itself as a refined and captivating chamber music ensemble.
All the members give instrument lessons besides playing concerts.
In 2020, the ensemble has been selected to join Le Dimore del Quartetto network.
