Trio Incendio was founded by three young Czech musicians – pianist Karolína Františová, violinist Filip Zaykov and cellist Vilém Petras in 2016 in Prague, where all the members grew up. The ensemble is considered to be among the most talented young European ensembles.

In the last two years, the trio won several national and international competitions like Gianni Bergamo Classic Music Award in Lugano, Coop Music Awards in Cremona, Concorso Musicale “Marcello Pontillo” in Firenze, Kiejstut Bacewicz Competition in Lodz and Bohuslav Martinů Competition in Prague.

Trio Incendio is a member ensemble of the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA), which gives them possibility to develop regularly under the guidance of great teachers and chamber musicians across Europe.

Since 2016, Trio Incendio takes part in the International Summer Academy Prague-Wien-Budapest in Austria, where they work with for example members of the Artis Quartett and other distinguished professors and chamber musicians like for example Hatto Beyerle, Avedis Koyoumdjian, Patrick Jüdt, Vida Vujić, Péter Nagy or David Dolan. At the academy, they were awarded the Wiener Klassik Prize, Prize of the Czech Association of Artists and Scientists, Bohuslav Martinů Prize and Chamber Music Prize for the best chamber music ensemble of the academy.

Recently they took part in a public masterclass with Alfred Brendel, focused on Schubert’s Trio No. 1 in B flat major.

The trio gives concerts both in Czech Republic and abroad. They have performed in some of the most important European venues such as Wigmore Hall in London, Philharmonie Berlin or Rudolfinum in Prague.
