The Gabriële Quartet is a young ensemble formed at the end of 2020 from the merger of four musicians passionate about string quartet.
Their motivation to settle in the wide world of string quartet, lead them to train alongside François Salque at CNSMDP.
Eager to make new experiences and meet new people, they take part in several projects, especially masterclasses organized by Proquartet.
Waiting for the programming of concerts to resume, they are beginning to build their musical identity through their work on string quartet’s repertoire.
The Quartet is named after the great Gabriële Picabia, who has inspired many artists of her time with her wish of innovation and modernity, through different artistic languages. The Gabriële Quartet wishes to enhance the visibility of women works, and of how men and women inspired one another, as shown in their work and relationships, in music but also in different art forms.
In 2021, the quartet has been selected to take part in Le Dimore del Quartetto and it has been admitted at the Master in chamber music at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, in the class of M° François Salque.
