Magazzino Musica is a large room dedicated to classical music, located in Milan, in a welcoming interior courtyard in the Porta Romana area. It is an independent bookshop and a musical instruments shop which also houses the lutherie workshop of Stefano Gibertoni and Valerio Nalin. Above all, it is a versatile place dedicated to the knowledge, listening and sharing of music, pleased to welcome solo musicians and chamber ensembles for rehearsals, consultations or moments of relaxation in its spaces. MaMu is the most well-stocked store of books and musical scores in the city as well as offering a wide assortment of violins, violas and cellos (for study and violin making), flutes and clarinets for musicians of all levels. The shop’s activity is accompanied by the “MaMu Cultura Musicale” association which organizes numerous events aimed at an audience of amateurs, students and professionals: musical meetings with the participation of leading figures from the music scene; presentations, training courses and master classes; convivial evenings to celebrate the great composers’ birthdays; productions of Chamber Works that bring the public closer to opera, spreading music outside its “institutional” context.
