In the XIX century Il Roccolo was a small house used for bird-hunting, then it was expanded to become a residence. Situated on a hill overlooking the Lake of Varese, with a view on Campo dei Fiori, Monte Rosa and Monviso, it is a peaceful and silent place, perfect for studying and performing. Music performances can be held in the large winter garden, on the model of English “conservatories”, protected by a houseshoe-shaped double row of hornbeams.
