The Erinys Quartet was formed in Helsinki, Finland by an international group of students at the Sibelius Academy where they study chamber music in the class of cellist Marko Ylönen. They have also received guidance from Paavo Pohjola and Teemu Kupiainen, as well as Sini Simonen of Castalian Quartet and Simone Gramaglia of Quartetto di Cremona.
In the summers of 2020 and 2021 the Erinys quartet was featured as an Emerging Artist ensemble at Mimir Chamber Music Festival in Forth Worth, Texas where they performed web-streamed concerts for global audiences.
Summer 2021 also took them to the Greek city of Larissa and in Meteora, where they performed as part of the Meteora Music Days festival.
After that, Erinys collaborated with conductor and percussionist I-Han Fu premiering works for string quartet and tabla. Most recently, Erinys Quartet travelled to Norway where they participated in the Trondheim International Chamber Competition and played concerts in the greater Trondheim area. In Autumn 2021 they have been selected to participate in Le Dimore del Quartetto network.
All four members are simultaneously continuing their post-graduate studies at the Sibelius Academy and are active in the Finnish music scene.
