The appointment will be focused on the string quartet as a formation and the repertoire, with particular attention to the values and principles that guide the work of a string quartet: collaboration, listening, respect, culture of dialogue. The metaphor of the string quartet as an ideal equal and inclusive working group, has the objective to raise awareness on the value of the individual as a single person and as a person who is part of a group, of a society.
The music program will see Beethoven, Dvoràk, Haydn, Shostakovich and Schubert, alternating to moments of conversation and didactical workshops, specifically ideated for the occasion and involving the students.

THE PROJECT "ABITO"

ABITO is a civic education path that accompanies middle school students in a journey towards responsible citizenship, through the universal languages of art and culture. ABITO thought and promoted by a group of cultural institutions governed by women that have at heart the development of an equal society: Le Dimore del Quartetto, Fondazione Arnoldo e Alberto Mondadori, Triennale Milano Teatro, Museo Teatrale alla Scala, Equaly e Italia Music Lab.

Within this context, Le Dimore del Quartetto proposes the project MetaFour, words and music with a string quartet that raises awareness on the importance of collaboration, listening and of all those values that are fundamental in a civil society.

The pilot edition of ABITO is promoted with the support of Fondazione EOS – Edison Orizzonte Sociale.
