#ARCHILLUM
ARCHILLUM – Itineraries of Music and Discovery is a widespread festival aimed at enhancing the heritage of hidden and less-known territories and the String Quartet repertoire played by outstanding young ensembles. A series of concerts hosted in various historic houses scattered all over the territory encourages the audience to discover the region.
ARCHILLUM intends to reach out a new and diverse audience. All the concerts are free, last 50 minutes and are introduced by the House owner and the musicians. The atmosphere of a concert played inside a historic house chamber is intimate and unique and overcomes the usual distance between the musicians and the audience in a concert hall.

The 6 string quartets participating to the 1st String Quartet National Competition “Sergio Dragoni” are part of Le Dimore del Quartetto network.
During the competition period and in the previous days, participants are hosted for free in 6 Lombard historic houses, according to Le Dimore del Quartetto’s formula, giving in exchange 6 concerts (one per each residence) for free and open to the public.
This Competition is organized by Società del Quartetto di Milano in collaboration with Casa Verdi, Accademia Walter Stauffer and Le Dimore del Quartetto, and it has occurred at Casa Verdi on May 29th, 30th and 31st 2019.
