THE MUSA FIRST CALL FOR APPLICATIONS HAS JUST CLOSED

With your quartet, experience a week of artistic residency in a Historic Residence; in the meantime, participate in a week of professional training and perform in spectacular places.

MUSA – European young MUsicians soft Skills Alliance is a European professional training project for young string quartets. It aims to provide them with entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and competences are ususally missing in their curriculum although fundamental for their professional career.

MUSA develops through three main European stages:

1. The string quartet image strategy | Milan (Italy), September 26th – October 2nd 2021
2. Cross-fertilization among the arts | Lisbon (Portugal), October 2021 
3. Recording & Market Distribution | Villefavard (France), May 2022

1. THE STRING QUARTET IMAGE STRATEGY, MILAN (ITALY) | SEPTEMBER 26th – OCTOBER 2nd, 2021

The program is curated by Le Dimore del Quartetto and IED Istituto Europeo di Design

This Program, including Workshops, Residency and Concerts, aims at building or improving the string quartet image. It focuses on the identity and style of the musicians and of the quartet as a whole; social media communication; dynamics and relationships with the environment taking into consideration the scenographic and choreographic aspects of the performance. At the end of the programme, musicians will receive professional photo/video materials and style guidelines.

String quartets will be trained by IED teachers and experts, photographers, video-makers and fashion professionals. Residencies and concerts will take place in Historic Houses in Lombardy.
