ARCHIPELAGO is the concerts series, started in 2019, organized by Le Dimore del Quartetto in partnership with Gioventù Musicale d’Italia, Accademia Walter Stauffer and Fondazione Giorgio Cini.
Six concerts during which six soloists and string quartets, selected among the emerging talents of the international classical music landscape, will perform together on the stage of Auditorium “Lo Squero” on Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice.
The poetic view on the Venetian lagoon is an inspiration for the artists who, being in residence at Centro Vittore Branca on the days before the concert, will have the possibility to enjoy a whole week of study under the supervision of M° Giancarlo di Vacri.
The final concert in front of the public is an integral part of the project, which offers musicians new encounters opportunities, other than the possibility to experiment original repertoires of ensemble music, that bring together soloists and quartets. The pleasure to live the extraordinary result of the artistic entente developed during those days is all reserved to the public.
Due to national restraining orders of March 2020, the programming of Archipelago 2020 has been suspended and it will be rescheduled as soon as possible. Future updates will be available on this page.
