Set in a peaceful inlet that can only be reached on foot or by boat, within a typically narrow Ligurian village nestling between the blue sea and the green terracing of Mount Portofino, a Benedictine monastery was established in the 10th century.

A country retreat from the turn of the 16th century. Built as a summer residence for the Bishops of Padova, it is the sublime work of famous architects, including Giulio Romano, and is decorated with paintings by the Flemish Master Lambert Sustris.

This traditional family residence that is perfectly preserved, as though it were suspended in time, is a reflection of how we used to live: from mosaics to paintings, from linen to tableware, from kitchen equipment to forniture, from clocks to the magazines still resting on the coffee table.

San Gimignano (SI)

Casa Campatelli is a 18th-century residence in the town of San Gimignano, which incorporates one of the town’s famous medieval towers. An upper-middle class residence in the 19th and 20th centuries, the house through the furniture, interior decor and paintings retraces and tells the memoirs, atmosphere and events of a typical Tuscan family and a society from a bygone era. All this is set against the backdrop of a long history spanning millennia and narrated through digital technology, which takes you back to the origins of the myth of San Gimignano and Toscana and offers an insight into the town.
